Web Developer / Web Designer

We are looking for an ambitious html/css developer / web designer to join our rapidly growing media company.

Our main website appeals to young people who share a passion for popular culture. We have grown to attract over 8 million unique visitors/month in 2.5 years – putting us in the top 500 websites in the USA.

Working closely with our graphic designer and software developer, you will be responsible for building the web pages for our network of sites across film, fashion, music and TV.

Our business is about developing cool/new interactive features on an almost continuous basis and we are looking to you to help us (a.) brainstorm new features and (b.) build and launch them.

This role will also gain exposure to other aspects of our business including graphic design, advertising and software development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Web development in html and css
  • Design of page layouts and navigation
  • Assistance with content - e.g. writing copy
Desired Experience:
  • 1-3 years web development experience
  • Ability to hand code in HTML/CSS
Skills and Attributes Sought:
  • Dreamweaver or Frontpage
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work with both technical and creative people
  • JavaScript skills desirable but not essential
  • Graphic design skills advantageous
